Welcome Back to Term 2!

Uru Manuka

As part of our iPad learning we worked with Miss Morgan today identifying what safe information we can share online. The children used the QR Code reader to find out what information 2 characters gave. We then talked about if it was private or personal information and whether you should share it with people we do not know.
This is okay to share

This is private information

writing down the information

Listening to the characters talking

  1. Kia ora Kotuku Learners!
It was super working with you today! I was so impressed at how you worked in pairs to help Mizzle and Catherine out.
I hope that you remember what information is okay to share and what information is private.
Look forward to working with you all again next week!

    1. Hi Miss Morgan
We enjoyed working with you too. We have been talking about what information is private and we think it is our full name, our full street address, our email addresses, our phone numbers our dates of birth and our passwords.

Thank you for your comment. We are looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday.

    1. Hi Kieran
Thank you for your comment - we enjoyed finding out about Mizzle Mouse and Catherine Cameron with Miss Morgan. We have had 2 sessions learning about being safe online and think we understand it better now.
Please make sure you are only sharing safe information online too!

      Thanks

  4. Did all of Kotuku work on this as a project and if so what was it about I think that all the hard work and effort the children in Kotuku put in on all these things is inspiring and feel like you guys could have a real good talent with what you guys could do on a chromebook on google drawings next time you guys do this you should get your teachers to give you a higher budget.

  5. Hi Kotuku its me Hayley from Toroa.
I liked the part when you said not to post personal information on the web. It sounds really dangerous.
You taught me how to be safe online.
What days do you do go with Miss Morgan?

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
