Uru Manuka
As part of our iPad learning we worked with Miss Morgan today identifying what safe information we can share online. The children used the QR Code reader to find out what information 2 characters gave. We then talked about if it was private or personal information and whether you should share it with people we do not know.
This is okay to share |
This is private information |
writing down the information |
Listening to the characters talking |
Kia ora Kotuku Learners!
ReplyDeleteIt was super working with you today! I was so impressed at how you worked in pairs to help Mizzle and Catherine out.
I hope that you remember what information is okay to share and what information is private.
Look forward to working with you all again next week!

Hi Miss Morgan
DeleteWe enjoyed working with you too. We have been talking about what information is private and we think it is our full name, our full street address, our email addresses, our phone numbers our dates of birth and our passwords.
Thank you for your comment. We are looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday.

wow kotuku you sure can post pictures, but that okey cos the people in toroa like myself barely post any pictures unless its on drawing or slides but still little kotuku still did a good job. :)
ReplyDeleteHi I thunk that this work is all really cool learning how to be safe on a Chromebook. How long did it take you to do this project? and how much fun did you have doing it? Please reply to me and once again I think that this is a really cool project and I look forwards to seeing more.

Hi Kieran
DeleteThank you for your comment - we enjoyed finding out about Mizzle Mouse and Catherine Cameron with Miss Morgan. We have had 2 sessions learning about being safe online and think we understand it better now.
Please make sure you are only sharing safe information online too!
Thanks
Kōtuku Learners
Did all of Kotuku work on this as a project and if so what was it about I think that all the hard work and effort the children in Kotuku put in on all these things is inspiring and feel like you guys could have a real good talent with what you guys could do on a chromebook on google drawings next time you guys do this you should get your teachers to give you a higher budget.
ReplyDeletefrom your good pal Brad
Hi Kotuku its me Hayley from Toroa.
ReplyDeleteI liked the part when you said not to post personal information on the web. It sounds really dangerous.
You taught me how to be safe online.
What days do you do go with Miss Morgan?
By Hayley HB :)
